In Scrum, team execute projects in successive iterations known as sprints.

During Sprint Planning, the Scrum Team takes the supplied stories and breaks them down into specific tasks, each of which is given a time estimate in days/hours. These tasks are then kept track of in the sprint backlog. A sprint is a predefined period of time, usually 2 to 4 weeks, during which the team analyses, designs, constructs, tests, and documents the selected features.
